Fundraising kick-off, Saturday June 29, 2013, 9am at Fricker Community Center, 900 North F St. This is the time to bring team members, friends, family, and co-workers to get fundraising tips, ask questions, learn more about the event and organization while having a blast! Our goal is to have each team raise $1,000. Recognition and prizes will be awarded for the top fundraisers.

5K Walk for Sickle Cell 2013 Event Fact Sheet

Event:	5K Walk for Sickle Cell 2013 is the annual walk that helps to raise money to support the local Sickle Cell Association with its mission to serve individuals and families with Sickle Cell Disease to assist them to receive necessary services and support. The walk route will take participants thru historic Belmont/DeVilliers neighborhood, thriving downtown Pensacola plus scenic Palafox Pier. Walkers register individually or as a team. Then recruit friends, family, co-workers, and church members to walk and raise money. The day of the event give the Sickle cell Association the opportunity to promote Sickle Cell education and awareness plus celebrate and award top fundraisers.

Goal:	$25,000
Purpose:	Monies raised through 5K Walk for Sickle Cell 2013 will help support educational awareness, social development programs, counseling’s, screenings, client support services, financial assistance for prescription medications and other emergency needs.
